Jo Sanderson

Jo Sanderson was a patient at the centre for many years, we all knew her smiling face and looked forward to her visits and chats, there was always laughter when Jo was around. She was such a special lady who underwent so much treatment here but faced everything with courage and dignity, nothing fazed her; she just accepted and got on with it.

She was also very creatively gifted and will especially be remembered for her Christmas angels of which she sold so many, raising funds for the Friends of whom she was so supportive. She was particularly good at selling our raffle tickets at the Christmas Fayre and also donated funds collected from the Poplar Gardens lunch club. She was a regular attendee at the Carol Service, loving the Salvation Army band and always accompanied by her lovely mum, June Harvey. Jo, thank you. We miss you with love and respect. Keep shining brightly.
